The NTA Distinguished Publication Award
This award is given to honor an NTA member for outstanding articles, research, courses, workbooks, or publications released since the last conference and up to the current awards submission deadline. Winners of Publication Awards are invited to present their work at the annual conference during a concurrent session. Up to five (5) will be awarded per year. This award carries a $500 stipend:
Criteria for Evaluation - The Awards Committee will conduct a blind review to rate the nominated publication, selecting a winner from this process.
Directions for Application - Each nomination should include:
The publication must be referenced in APA style.
- One award for tutors or directors who work the k-12 system.
- One award for tutors or directors who work in two year community colleges or schools.
- One award for tutors or directors who work in four year colleges or universities.
- One award for tutors or directors who work in a private learning center or independently.
- One award for tutors or directors who work in community or faith based programs.

- A letter of application or nomination summarizing the reasons the work should be considered (limit of 500 words).
- Four (4) copies of the publication for committee review.
- Send one (1) copy with the name(s) of the author(s) included on the cover page and three (3) copies with no names.
The publication must be referenced in APA style.
