2023 Conference Awards
Nomination Procedure
Each nominee for an award must:
Each award includes a certification or plaque and recognition at the Annual Conference.
- Be notified that he/she has been nominated.
- Attend the conference where the award will be given.
- Be a member in good standing of the NTA.
- Notify the chair in writing (e-mail is acceptable) that he/she will accept the award.
- All nominations must be made by NTA members in good standing.
- Self-nomination is acceptable.
Each award includes a certification or plaque and recognition at the Annual Conference.
Application Packet Requirements
Each packet should include the following:
- A detailed description why the nominee deserves to be awarded in the named category.
- The name of the NTA award, grant, or scholarship.
- Nominator’s name and phone number.
- Nominee’s name and job position.
- Tutoring or coaching program name; street and building address; city; state; ZIP code.
- Nominee’s work telephone number, cell number, and e-mail address.
- Description of the program and nominee’s involvement.
- All typed materials must be double spaced, with the exception of the cover page.
- Send two (2) copies of the application packet.
Application Mailing
- Application packet from the nominated person(s) or group must be postmarked by September 1, 2023.

The Review Procedure
- Current members of the Executive Board and members serving on the awards committee must abstain from voting
if nominated for any individual or program awards. - Current members of the Executive Board and members serving on the awards committee may not self-nominate.
- The Executive Board and the Award Committee reserve the right to elect not to present an award in any given year
if a qualified person is not nominated.
