Regional Face to Face Tutor Training

Hudson County Community College in New Jersey is proud to host the 2010 National Tutoring Association’s (NTA) Regional Face to Face Tutor Training, presented by Avery Austin. H.C.C.C. is located four miles from Manhattan, easily accessible by PATH Transportation.

Registration Information
Due to overwhelming demand, we encourage attendees to register as soon as possible. (See below for Registration Form.) The registration fee is $179 per person. The registration deadline is June 11, 2010. Complete the Registration Form below. Make checks payable to National Tutoring Association. No refunds accepted after the deadline.

Hotel Accommodations
As a courtesy, we have set aside a block of rooms at the Ramada Inn—Ramada Limited Jersey City, located within walking distance of the college. Registrants should mention National Tutoring Association when reserving a room. Reserve a room by May 24, 2010 to receive discounted rates. Otherwise, attendees may choose any of the hotels in the Jersey City area.

Training Information
Training will commence on June 25, 2010. The first day of training will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. The second day of training (June 26) will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m. All training will take place in the Culinary Conference Center.

By the conclusion of training, attendees will be certified as Master Tutors and be qualified to train others. Not only does certification enhance the abilities of the individual, it adds credibility to academic, learning, and writing centers where individuals work.
